At Comber Grove we come together three times a week to develop the social, moral, spiritual and cultural identities of the children and foster a feeling of unity among our school community.

The purpose of these assemblies are:

– To inform the students about upcoming activities and set expectations

– To develop in students a sense of identity in the school.

– To develop a sense of gratitude and understanding of the world

– To motivate the students with appreciation, rewards, and accolades on performing well academically, personally, musically or sportingly.

We learn about and celebrate events such as:

  • Black History Month - we look at role models from all backgrounds and races across the whole year, not just during this month
  • Chinese New Year
  • LGBTQ+ Pride
  • Christmas
  • Hannukah
  • Diwali
  • Charles Dickens Day
  • Roald Dahl Day
  • World Book Day
  • Maths Week
  • Women's History Month
  • World Environment Day
  • Human Rights Day
  • Road Safety Week
  • Remembrance Day    and many more!
