I joined Comber Grove's governing body in March 2021 with a particular focus on improving the wellbeing for both pupils and staff. I've been lucky enough to grow up in Peckham and Camberwell where I experienced first hand the importance of having outstanding teachers and role models to learn from, this is evident throughout Comber Grove and a key reason for my desire to be part of this community.
I've worked with children throughout my career as a teacher, a learning mentor and even a child's entertainer (a fantastic weekend job to get through University) and now I work in business development for a company that strives to improve children's emotional and physical wellbeing with a particular focus on improving resilience, self esteem and mental health.
Still based locally I've been able to visit the school where I've consistently been blown away by the maturity, creativity and happiness that all the pupils showcase. I'm keen to add to these values wherever possible and am extremely proud to be part of a school where it's evident that the staff are so proactive in engaging and improving the community for their pupils.
I look forward to the future where it's evident Comber Grove will become an outstanding school.
All the best,
