As part of LGBT History Month we have been learning about and celebrating diversity. Specifically we have been looking at "Different Families, Same Love".
We learned how families can have different make ups: parents of different or the same gender, single parent families, two parent families, children can live with grandparents or foster carers, parents can come from different religions or different races and many other family make ups. We learned about having respect for all families, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, religion. We have been reading age-appropriate books and looking at role models who come from different types of families, from different backgrounds.
To celebrate "Different Families, Same Love" we are wearing rainbow colours this Friday.
