Young Voices Choir Concert – Monday 3rd February


Dear Parent/Carer,


On Monday 3rd February, Comber Grove Choir will be taking part in the Young Voices concert, at the O2 Academy, Greenwich. This is an amazing opportunity for young people who are passionate about music to perform in one of London’s biggest venues as part of a 7000 strong choir! You can find out more by visiting


What will happen on the day of the concert?


  • We will be leaving school at 1pm to go and rehearse at the O2 Greenwich.
  • Children will need to bring a packed snack and a packed dinner and a bottle of water
  • The concert then starts at 7pm and will finish around 9pm.
  • Children must then be collected from the O2 at Greenwich shortly after 9pm: The O2 Arena, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX
  • The closest tube station is North Greenwich


Thank you for giving permission for your child to join the choir and attend the Young Voices concert on Monday 3rd February. Please note, if you are not able to collect your child from The O2 at 9:15pm on Monday 3rd February, your child will not be able to attend as we will not be returning to school. Please reply to this letter by Thursday 16th January.


Date and Time

Monday 3rd February


The children will arrive at The O2 at for 1:45pm on the day to have their snack and rehearse.


The rehearsal will finish and the children will have time to have their packed dinner.


The concert commences. It is advised if you are coming to watch the concert to arrive by 6:30pm at the latest.



The concert ends. Children will be taken to the meeting point to be collected.



Meet at meeting point – Nandos (by the main entrance of The O2). If you are not able to collect your child at 9:30pm, they will not be able to attend the concert. Please get in contact with me before the day of the concert if your availability to collect them changes.


The O2, Greenwich

The closest station by tube is North Greenwich station.

What to wear

Children can wear their own clothes on the bottom but must wear a plain white t-shirt on top (children can come into school on that day in these clothes – no need for uniform).

What to bring

Children must bring:

  • Coat                        - A packed snack (fruit/crisps/cereal bar no nuts)
  • Rucksack bag        - A packed dinner (and bottle of water)

Audience Tickets

If you ordered a ticket, it will be available to collect from the school office. We do have a few spares, which will be sold at £22 on a first-come first-served basis.


On our Comber Grove website, under the tab “Children”, you’ll find a page entitled “Young Voices”. This has the songs available for the children to practice. Please encourage the children to practice as much as possible!
